Psychologists offer new psychometric assessments in order to give an objective and scientifically validated assessment of a person's assets, areas for development, and to indicate how these can be best achieved. There are many different types of assistance and many of these are the ones utilised in staff selection and for staff development.

Corporations often want to assess candidates for important positions as finding the right person for the job is not only important, getting the wrong person can be expensive and difficult to remedy.

Individuals from what assessment in order to understand themselves better so that they can make choices and changes that are likely to be the most effective ones for them. Individuals may also want these assessments to find any areas of need that they may want to develop especially if these are important for either gaining the position that they want or career development.

Psychometric assessments can also be utilised along with an interview assessment to work out a person's problems and changes they need to make.
